The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury, Maryland recognized four of my images in professional categories at its’ 2016 Art in Nature Photo Competition. This world-class museum is a true gem on the Delmarva Peninsula and a must-see for any nature lover. This acknowledgment of my work is thrilling and I am glad to support a great program that promotes art in our region. My “Three Acorns” macro image won 1st place in the Professional Black and White category. I made 80 separate images at different focal plane and combined them to create the final image. It’s a painstaking process to capture this level of detail, but the results are so crisp that you can almost feel the texture of the acorns. I look forward to making new images this year and sharing them in the 2017 competition next August. Thanks Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art!
