The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury, Maryland recognized three of my images at its’ 2017 Art in Nature Photo Competition. This world-class museum is a true gem on the Delmarva Peninsula and a must-see for any nature lover. My Fall Maple Leaf image won the Grand Champion award. This image was selected from nearly 1,000 images from over 170 photographers. It is one of my favorites and I am grateful to the judges for recognizing my unique vision and celebration of nature’s beauty through the cycles of life. It’s an image where I purposely minimized distractions and allowed the subject to shine. In addition, Sunset Sunflowers and Horseshoe Crab #3 won 1st and 2nd place in the Professional Black and White category.
